Post-Construction / Renovation Cleaning

After a renovation, new build, or painting project, your home needs a thorough clean before it is liveable. Construction dust, debris, adhesives and paint residue require extra time and care.

Pricing structure

$45/hour per cleaner with a 4-hour minimum per visit (labour before HST).

Person-hours: billing is based on total labour time. Example: 2 cleaners × 4 hours = 8 labour hours.

Post-construction cleaning is always booked as a one-time visit. The Request form provides a planning estimate; actual scope and time are confirmed on-site before we start.

What this service includes

Post-construction cleaning focuses on removing construction-related residues throughout the property. It is a one-time service, not maintenance cleaning.

Best for

New builds and full renovations.
After drywall, tiling, painting or flooring work.
Move-in preparation after contractor work.
Kitchen or bathroom remodels.

Not covered by this service

Mould remediation or biohazard situations.
Fire or flood damage restoration.
Exterior cleaning (windows outside, pressure washing, roof).
Hazardous material removal (asbestos, lead paint).
Hauling away construction debris or large waste.

Typical focus areas

All rooms

Construction dust removal from all surfaces, ledges, vents and trim.
Baseboards, door frames and window sills wiped down.
Walls spot-wiped for dust, paint marks and adhesive residue.
Floors: vacuumed and mopped (hard floors); vacuumed (carpets).

Kitchen & bathrooms

Counters, sinks, fixtures and surfaces wiped clean.
Grout lines and tile wiped of construction residue.
Appliance exteriors and cabinet fronts cleaned.
Toilet, tub/shower and vanity area detailed.

Windows & glass

Interior window glass wiped (paint spots, dust, adhesive labels).
Window frames and tracks cleaned.
Exterior windows are not included unless added separately.

Typical timing (guidelines)

1-bedroom unit or small apartment: 4-5 hours minimum.
2-3 bedroom home after renovation: 6-9 hours typical.
Full gut renovation or new build: 10+ hours (scope dependent).
Actual time depends on renovation scope and level of dust/debris.

Under Ontario’s Consumer Protection Act, 2002, if our cleaner arrives and discovers the actual scope exceeds the original booking estimate by more than 10%, we will stop, contact you by phone, explain the situation, and provide an updated time and cost estimate. Work only continues with your verbal or written approval. We do not change the price without your knowledge and consent.
