Exeter - South Huron's main town, western edge of our zone
Exeter is a South Huron community about 30 km west of St. Marys, roughly 32 minutes by car heading out along Highway 83. It sits at the western edge of our service zone. We are straightforward about that: we schedule Exeter visits on days when we have other clients heading in that direction, rather than as a standalone trip from St. Marys and back.
The town's housing is predominantly single-family residential, with a mix of older homes from the late 1800s and early 1900s and more recent construction. Exeter developed as a service centre for the surrounding agricultural area, and many of its older homes reflect that period - solid construction, original woodwork in some cases, and the kind of accumulated surface buildup in kitchens and bathrooms that develops over decades rather than years.
